We love cryptids of all kinds in our house. One of my son’s favorite cryptids is the Mothman. My daughter has a few hooded blankets, and my son wanted one too. We decided that it would be fun to make a Mothman hooded blanket for him.
This is a very easy project to make. It is very similar to the Dinosaur and Unicorn hooded blankets I have made in the past. This one is made larger than my other blankets. It will work perfectly for a teenager or adult. The size of this blanket is very easy to adapt to the size of the person you are making it for. If you need to make it longer or shorter, just add or subtract rows from the main section of the blanket. To make it wider or narrower, add or subtract stitches from your starting chain in an even amount. These need to be an even amount because you will be adding or subtracting to each side of the hood.
For this blanket I used Big Twist Value yarn and a 6 mm crochet hook.

My son was so happy to see that I had finished his crochet Mothman hooded blanket. He has been waiting very patiently for me to make it, and is excited to finally get to use it.
He looks so happy! What a great project, thanks for sharing the pattern.
