I wanted to make my daughter something green to wear to school on St. Patrick’s Day. I decided to make her a crochet shamrock that I could attach to a hair elastic.
This is a super quick project that works great as a last minute addition of something green.
Shamrock Hair Elastic
Materials: 5 mm crochet hook
Green yarn
Hair elastic
Start with a magic ring
Round 1: 4 sc in ring, join to first sc, ch 3
Round 2: 3 dc in first stitch, sl st into same stitch, (sl st, ch 3, 3 dc, sl st) in next 2 stitches, sl st, ch 5 sl st along chain, sl st in same stitch, sl st in first sc, fasten off
Tie the shamrock to a hair elastic
My daughter loves her new hair elastic and can’t wait to show it to her friends at school!
