My kids love to play with fidget toys. From what I can tell all kids tend to love playing with them. Most fidget toys tend to make a lot of clicks and other noises, so I am always looking for quiet options. This crochet donut fidget toy is a great quiet option. This toy is a soft crochet donut with a marble inside. The kids play with it by pushing the marble around inside the donut.
I made this toy using Red Heart Super Saver yarn and a 6 mm crochet hook.
Crochet Donut Fidget Toy
Materials:
- Tan yarn
- Pink Yarn
- Multicolored Yarn
- 6mm crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Marble
Donut Top
(in pink) Chain 12 to start, sl st ends together making sure not to twist the chain, ch 1
Round 1: sc in each chain around (12), sl s t to first sc, ch 1
Round 2: (2 sc in first stitch, sc in next stitch) repeat around (18), sl st to first sc, ch 1
Round 3: (sc in first stitch, 2 sc in next stitch, sc in next stitch) repeat around (24), sl st to first sc, ch 1
Round 4: (in tan) (2 sc in first stitch, sc in next 3 stitches) repeat around (30), fasten off
Use multicolored yarn to add sprinkles to the top of the icing.
Donut Bottom
(in tan) Chain 12 to start leaving a starting tail for sewing, sl st ends together making sure not to twist the chain, ch 1
Round 1: sc in each chain around (12), sl s t to first sc, ch 1
Round 2: (2 sc in first stitch, sc in next stitch) repeat around (18), sl st to first sc, ch 1
Round 3: (sc in first stitch, 2 sc in next stitch, sc in next stitch) repeat around (24), sl st to first sc, ch 1
Round 4: (in tan) (2 sc in first stitch, sc in next 3 stitches) repeat around (30), fasten off leaving a tail for sewing.
Sew the donut top and bottom together with a marble between the two layers.
My kids love this crochet donut fidget toy. My daughter really loves it because she loves anything that is cute and food themed. She says this is the perfect toy to carry around and play with.
