My daughter is constantly losing her lip balm and begging me for new ones. I decided that a crochet lip balm holder keychain would be the perfect solution to this problem. My hope is that if she has it attached to her bag, she should always know where to find at least one of them.
This is a super easy and quick project. It takes just a small amount of yarn, so it is great for using up small scraps leftover from other projects.
For this project I used Big Twist Value yarn and a 6 mm crochet hook.
Crochet Lip Balm Holder Keychain
Materials:
- Any color yarn
- 6 mm crochet hook
- Button
- Yarn needle
Keychain
Start with a magic ring
Round 1: 6 sc inside ring, ch 1
Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch (12), ch 1
Rounds 3-12: sc in each stitch around (12), ch 1
Row 13: sc in first 6 stitches, ch 1 and turn
Rows 14-18: sc in each stitch across (6), ch 1 and turn
Row 15: sc in first 2 stitches, ch 4, sc in last 2 stitches.
Fasten off and weave in ends of yarn. Turn the lip balm holder inside out and sew a button to the front. Attach a keychain to the top of the holder.
That’s it! This super easy and quick project is finished in no time.
My daughter was so happy when I gave her crochet lip balm holder keychain to her. We are both hoping that this will keep her from losing them all.
