Crochet Ladybug Rug

Earlier this year my daughter had an assignment to draw a picture of her room. When she showed it to me it all looked as I expected except for a ladybug rug she drew on her floor. When I pointed out that she didn’t have a ladybug rug in her room she told me “But I will.” I quickly understood that she was adding this to my list of projects. I finally got around to creating her ladybug rug, and she is very happy with it.

This project isn’t very complicated to make, it is just several pieces crocheted separately and sewn together at the end. The main portion of the rug is crocheted holding two strands of yarn together. This makes the rug thicker and softer for sitting on. This may cause a problem if you have cats because they will want to lay on it the entire time you are working.
