Crochet Cat Bandana

I love making crochet accessories for my pets. After making a crochet bandana for my dog, I decided my cats needed one too. I decided to take a break from my current large project to make this crochet cat bandana.

This is a super easy and quick pattern. It’s perfect for beginners. It also uses only a small amount of yarn, so it is perfect for making with leftover yarn from other projects.

For this bandana I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn and a 5.5 mm crochet hook.

Row 4: 2 sc in first stitch, sc in next 2 stitches, 2 sc in last stitch (6), ch 1 and turn

Row 5: sc in each stitch across (6), ch 1 and turn

Row 6: 2 sc in first stitch, sc in next 4 stitches, 2 sc in last stitch (8), ch 1 and turn

Row 7: sc in each stitch across (8), ch 1 and turn

Row 8: 2 sc in first stitch, sc in next 6 stitches, 2 sc in last stitch (10), ch 1 and turn

Row 9: sc in each stitch across (10), ch 1 and turn

Row 10: 2 sc in first stitch, sc in next 8 stitches, 2 sc in last stitch (12), ch 1 and turn

Rows 11-20: sc in each stitch across (12), ch 1 and turn

Row 21: sc in each stitch across (12), fasten off leaving a tail for sewing

Fold the top rectangle in half and sew across the bottom to make a tube for the cat collar to fit through. If the collar is too wide to fit, you may need to make more rows of single crochet at the top.

The bandana is finished. Now all you need to do is slip the collar through it and put it on your cat. Hopefully your cat will enjoy it more than mine did.
