My kids love cuddling up with blankets while reading or watching tv. My daughter has been asking for a new blanket, and I thought she would love a crochet unicorn hooded blanket.
This blanket is made much like the Crochet Dinosaur Hooded Blanket I made for her last year. I did make this one a tiny bit longer than the dinosaur one since she has grown in the last year. I wanted to make sure it would last for a while.
This pattern is very simple. The blanket is a simple double crochet blanket. The horn and ears are crocheted separately and sewn on. The hair is made by cutting equal size strips of yarn and tying them to the top of the hood.
For this project I used Big Twist Value yarn and a 6 mm crochet hook. This pattern can easily be adapted to a larger or smaller size by adding or subtracting rows of double crochet. It can be made wider or narrower by adding or subtracting double crochets from each row.

My daughter loved her crochet hooded unicorn blanket. She couldn’t wait to cuddle up with it as soon as she got home from school.

Awesome work! She looks really happy with it.
This looks so fun! Want to make one for my daughter 🙂
