I love making new crochet projects for Halloween. Unfortunately, this pattern took me a bit longer than I had expected so it is being released a week after Halloween. Luckily my daughter loves spooky stuff as much as I do and is planning on wearing this crochet bat scarf all winter long. Bats aren’t just for Halloween!

This scarf is made using mosaic crochet. In mosaic crochet you will work alternating colors on each row and cut the yarn at the end of the row. In this pattern color A is purple, and color B is black. I am including both a chart and written directions for this project.

For this project I used Big Twist Value yarn and a 5.5 mm crochet hook.

My daughter loves her new crochet bat scarf. Even though it was technically a Halloween pattern, she is planning on using it all winter.
