We have a new kitten in our house. Anyone who has cats knows that kittens and Christmas ornaments are a dangerous combination. All of our fragile ornaments had to stay packed in the box, and the bottom few rows of the tree are pretty empty. I decided that I needed to make a few ornaments that I wouldn’t have to worry about breaking when they get thrown to the ground. Luckily this pattern is so easy, I will have time to make plenty of them to hang on my tree before Christmas.

This is a great project for using up scraps of yarn. These ornaments take a very small amount of yarn, and not a lot of time. They are perfect for decorating a tree when you have cats or small children.
