Crochet Morel Mushroom

Every spring I look forward to looking for Morel mushrooms. They are an incredibly delicious mushroom that only grows for a couple of weeks in the spring. Unfortunately, the last couple years I have been unable to find any. In preparation for another disappointing Morel season, I decided to crochet one. It may not be the same as finding the real thing, but it still makes me happy to look at.

Sc in second chain and each chain across

Sew the brown strip to the body to create the ridges on the outside of the mushroom.

Once the ridges are sewn on your morel is finished. I’m still hoping I will find the real thing this year, but at least I have this cute stuffed mushroom to look at while I’m waiting.
